What you give us

When you join, we store your email address, signup time, the version of the consent notice you agreed to, and which part of the page you used. We may record a broad traffic source such as Instagram or direct. We don’t ask for medical information.

Why we keep it

To send useful movement notes, share the development of MANNER, and offer first access to the Movement Manual. We keep a record of your signup choice and avoid adding the same address twice. We do not sell your email address.

Where it is stored

Your signup and consent record are stored in the site’s hosted database through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. We also send your email address and broad signup source to Beehiiv, our newsletter provider, to manage confirmation, delivery, and unsubscribe preferences. New subscribers confirm their address before receiving the welcome email and newsletter. If the connection is temporarily unavailable, your request stays saved for a later retry.

Basic measurement

We count page views, signup-button clicks, and completed signups by day and broad traffic source. These are event counts, not unique-person counts. Our site code does not set advertising cookies or create a persistent visitor identifier. We honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for optional page-view and click counts. Signup records still need to be saved when you choose to join.

To reduce automated abuse, the server temporarily stores a salted hash derived from an IP address. It changes hourly and expires at the end of that hour; expired records are removed on a later request. We do not store raw IP addresses in the subscriber list. Our hosting providers may maintain their own operational and security logs under their policies.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe through the link included in each MANNER email. To request removal, access, or correction, reply to a MANNER email or contact Brandon through the official @mannerofmovement Instagram account. Include only what is needed to identify your signup; we may need to verify the request.

We keep active signup records while operating the list. If you ask to leave, we stop marketing to you and retain only what is needed to honor that choice or meet applicable obligations. You may also request deletion, subject to those obligations.
